Ge of China Viewing:  September 10, 2010

Ge of China
The majority of the Ge are located in the mountains in the central part of Guizhou Province. They wear a unique costume and speak their own language. The Ge women's costume is designed to resemble a general's uniform, in remembrance of a (rumored) general who was their ancestor. They call themselves "Ge Mong". The Ge practice polytheism and animism, and ancestral altars are also found in most homes.

Ministry Obstacles
To follow Christ is to risk losing friends, family and status. These are not trivial losses.

Outreach Ideas
Pray the few Christians among the Ge will become mature enough in the faith to effectively take the good news of Jesus to the remainder of their tribe. Pray for training and equipping.

Pray for the followers of Christ
Pray for the Christian believers among the Ge people, that they will faithfully fellowship together, spurring one another on toward love and good deeds. Pray they will be zealous to become faithful disciples of Christ.

Pray for the entire people group
Pray that each individual in the Ge community will soon have an opportunity to clearly hear the good news about Christ in his or her mother tongue. Pray for several opportunities to hear.
